Until now most wood-burning stoves in Africa that replace 3-stone fires are either very basic or expensive and imported by INGOs.
Now it will be possible for anyone to make a Rocket stove using clay, metal or plastic tubes with ceramic fibre liner
Opposite is a sketch of a prototype stove that subsistence farmers can easily make from clay using a bucket as a mould.

This stove shown here was assembled in Malawi in December 2022.
It consists of rocket type clay stove and is producing a good flame but it will need the addition of a ceramic fibre chimney insert to protect the clay from overheating.
It is expected that all CFB stoves will soon be made of clay, as above, since this minimises cost and the CF blanket increases burning efficiency and prevents heat cracks!
